Charles V. “Chuck” Crum, age 75, of South Bloomfield, died Thursday, May 4, 2017, at home.

Chuck was born March 28, 1942, in Athens, to the late Rev. Charles Ervin and Lila (Cullison) Crum.

Chuck worked for 43 years for United McGill in Columbus as a lead line mechanic and attended South Bloomfield United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra D. Crum, in 2009; a daughter, Connie Jo Crum; a granddaughter, Katlyn Crum; and a sister, Ruth.

Chuck is survived by children, Rick (Kim) Crum of Columbus, Donald (Jovy) Crum of Pataskala, Christina Orr and Greg (Kay) Crum, both of Key Largo, Florida, Terry (David) Baisden of London, Tammy Muldovan of Canal Winchester, Chuck (Julie) Crum of Lockbourne, Traci Canter of Circleville, Sandy (Brad) Oller and David (Mandy) Crum, both of Ashville; 32 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; special friend, Janet “Cricket” Foreman; and a nephew raised as a brother, Jerry Hart.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2017, at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St., Ashville, with the funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2017, with Pastor Floyd Hubbell officiating and interment following at Harrison Twp. Cemetery, South Bloomfield.
