Betty J. “Jay” Hunt

Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean we’ll miss you, until we meet again.

Betty Jane “Jay” Hunt, 61, of Circleville, passed away on April 11, 2017, in Circleville.

She was born April 13, 1955, to Thomas and Julie Lutz.

Jay loved searching for treasures at thrift stores and yard sales, playing the video game Destiny, visiting the ocean and being with those she loved. She was an avid fan of The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and True Blood.

Those who had the honor of being a part of Jay’s life know that she was a talented and amazing cook, a joy to be around and always made visitors feel welcome. Jay touched our hearts and lives by being a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, compassionate daughter, sweet sister and caring friend.

After battling a brief illness, God called her beautiful soul to Heaven.

She is survived by her husband and soulmate of 41 years, Kenny; sons, Cory and Chad; daughters-in-law, Susan and Jennifer; five grandsons, Austin, Lane, CJ, Elliott and Aiden; and beloved dog, Chloe, all of Circleville. In addition, she is survived by her mother, Julie Weaver; four sisters, Becky (Doug) Amerine, Connie Davis, Dorothy “Dot” Mogan and Sharon “Kay” Lagore; three brothers, Thomas “Tucker” Lutz, Herb Lutz and Mike (Melissa) Lutz; and several nieces and nephews.

The family is honoring Jay’s wishes in her passing by not conducting a funeral. In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored with your attendance at the memorial benefit at noon on June 3, 2017, at the Circleville VFW.

Arrangements are entrusted to Ohio Cremation & Memorial Society. Please visit www.OhioCremation.org to leave the family an online condolence.
