NEW HOLLAND – A Frankfort woman was killed Friday evening after being ejected from her vehicle in a crash on Clarksburg Pike.

Christina Parks, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene by Dr. John Ellis, Pickaway County Coroner.

Parks was driving a 2006 Pontiac Montana minivan southbound on Clarksburg Pike just past Judas Road about 7:08 p.m. Friday when she went off the right side of the roadway into a ditch, according to Sgt. John Schleich, Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.

Parks, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled into an open field.

Her passenger, Douglas Henson, 68, also of Frankfort, was transported by Fayette County Life Squad to Fayette Memorial Hospital for treatment. His condition was unknown at time of publication.

Members of the Pic-A-Fay Fire Department also assisted at the scene.

Schleich said there was no immediate indication of the cause of the crash, and it remains under investigation.
