Magdalene “Maggie” (Wiggins) Tisdale, 98, of Whisler, departed this life on March 26, 2017, at Berger Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on March 5, 1919, to the late Berton B. and Ana Edna (Seitz) Wiggins in Hocking County.

She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years and eight months, Mike, in 1987; son, Joe K. Tisdale; daughter, Rita June Hart; brothers, Raymond Wiggins, Chloe Wiggins, Umbert Wiggins, Gerald Wiggins and Carl Wiggins; sisters, Dessie Knox-Gladys Woodgeard, Vivian Thompson, Augusta Tisdale, Faye Tisdale, and one infant sister, Ione Wiggins; grandsons, Raymond Hart, Ernie Tisdale and Joseph Tisdale; great-grandsons, Joshua Tisdale and Joshua Hart; and several nieces and nephews.

Maggie is survived by eight grandchildren, Terry (Sharon) Hart, Brenda (Bob) Noble, Cindy (Gary) Johnson, Penny (Jon) West, Debra (Gary) Bethel, Michael Tisdale, Lenny, (Rachel) Tisdale and Dennis Tisdale; daughter-in-law, June (Danner) Tisdale; son-in-law, Melvin (Mabel) Hart; 26 great-grandchildren; 40 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other special family members and friends.

She retired from General Electric in 1974 and was a longtime member of Church Triumphant and more recently Saltcreek Valley Community Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017, at the Hill Funeral Home, Kingston, with Rev. James Vandagriff and Dr. Doyne Wiggins officiating. Burial will follow at Green Summit Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hill’s.
