Lloyd Russell “Skinny” Chaffin, 91, of Circleville, passed away on March 18, 2017.

He was born on Nov. 21, 1925, in Ross County, to Charles and Daisy Alice (Bush) Chaffin.

He was a retired farmer in Ross County, worked for Ross County ODOT, was owner and operator of the Marathon station in Hallsville and retired from E.I. DuPont with over 20 years of service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (Stewart) Chaffin; brothers, Frank, Gerald, Carl, Jim and Sam Chaffin; and by sisters, Loretta and Pat Davis and Wanda Irvin.

Lloyd is survived by his children, Daisy (Tom) Handley, Robert Chaffin, George, Gary, Rick and Danny Chaffin, Debra (Jim) Good and Brenda (Paul) King; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including grandchildren Matthew (Ashley) and Megan Handley and great-grandchildren Rylie, Reagan and Ripley Handley; sisters, Anna Kempton, Madge Summitt, Shirley (Guy) Hunter, Jeanette (Harley) Coulter and Sandy (Garry) Kuhn; and by brothers, Larry (Linda) and Bill (Trina) Chaffin.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at the Wellman Funeral Home with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
