Merda Jefferson Marshall Jr., 81, died at 7:52 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at home surrounded by family and friends in Chillicothe.
He was born Oct. 23, 1935, in Circleville, the son of the late Merda Marshall Sr. and Edna (Tomlinson) Marshall.
On May 16, 1961, he was united in marriage to Sharon (Yeager) Marshall of Columbus.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his children, Merda J. Marshall III (Cheri), Charles Brian Marshall (Rhonda), Danny L. Marshall (Shawna), Randy R. Marshall (Michelle), Karen Marshall, Michael E. Steele and Sonny Marshall; and special granddaughter, Destiny Marshall. He has 25 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, with burial to follow in Floral Hills Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
