April 24

– A resident in the 300 block of East Mound Street reported a pit bull was eating out of the dumpster in her back yard and it seemed he could be vicious. The dog warden was contacted.

– Officers performed a well-being check in the 100 block of Margaret Avenue. The subject checked OK and declined medical attention.

– Alec D. Higdon of Circleville was arrested on a warrant from Fayette County following a traffic stop in the 200 block of East Main Street. He was transported to New Holland for custody exchange.

– A resident in the 300 block of Kingston Pike reported damage to a CBA tower. A report was taken on private property damage.

– A resident in the 300 block of Town Street came to the police station to report harassing messages from a known subject. No report was taken, and the caller was advised.

– A resident in the 100 block of Cottage Hill Lane came to the police station to report a domestic complaint. A report was taken.

– Extra patrol was requested in the 100 block of Edison Avenue due to an auction being held the following day and property left outside.

– A vehicle was impounded following a traffic stop in the alley between Mound and Union streets.

– A resident came to the police station to report a vehicle parked in the same spot for a week in the 100 block of East Mound Street. Officers made contact with the owner and advised her to move the vehicle.

– A resident in the 300 block of Franklin Street reported a possible brush fire in the area. Officer advised there was no need for the fire department, and the fire was extinguished.

– An anonymous caller reported a known subject wanted by the probation department was in a vehicle parked in the area of the Ohio Market on East Ohio Street. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– A caller from UDF on East Main Street reported a male and female had taken a can of beer without paying for it and left in a vehicle headed westbound on Main Street. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

– Officers performed a stand-by at the Pour House on North Court Street while a vehicle was towed from in front of the business.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident on Main Street east of Court Street.

– A resident in the 300 block of South Scioto Street reported someone had stolen money from him. A report was taken on theft.

– A resident in the 100 block of Fairview Blvd. called 911 to report the theft of a utility trailer with rear loading ramps. A report was taken, and the vehicle was entered into the LEADS system.

– A resident in the 300 block of East Ohio Street reported a fight between two male subjects. Contact was made with both parties, and both denied there was a fight. No report was taken.

– Dawn R. Morrow was arrested for domestic violence after two 911 calls regarding a fight in the 100 block of Pleasant Street. A squad was requested for a female with a hand laceration, and Children’s Services was notified.

– Officers responded to an activated hold-up alarm at Duke and Duchess on East Main Street. The scene checked OK.

– A caller reported a bus with “The Man Van” on the side had kids hanging out of the windows while traveling westbound on East Main Street. The vehicle was stopped in the area of Duke and Duchess, and all occupants were advised not to hang out the windows.

– A 911 caller reported a fight between two male subjects at Pickaway and Watt streets. Officers made contact with one of the males, who advised it was just a verbal argument and resolved itself. No report was taken.

– A caller reported she was leaving Forest Cemetery, and a vehicle with two known subjects nearly struck her heading toward the back of the cemetery. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– Robert Starkey III was issued a summons for theft after an employee at Kroger advised they had a subject in custody for shoplifting.

– Officers responded to an activated burglary alarm at Avalla on Watt Street. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 500 block of Renick Avenue requested extra patrol after reporting someone had broken the screen around her window in what she believed was an attempted break-in.

– A 911 caller reported a fight between two male subjects behind the Pour House on North Court Street. The subjects advised it was a verbal argument, and one of them was requested to leave the property.

April 25

– A caller reported two suspicious males near the storage building area on Edison Avenue who left the scene after seeing her. The storage area appeared to check OK, and officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– A resident in the 300 block of East High Street reported an ongoing noise complaint due to his neighbor mowing his lawn early in the morning. The neighbor agreed to start mowing at the back of the yard to be courteous to his neighbor.

– A caller in the 1200 block of North Court Street reported he found a young male unsupervised and crying. The officer arrived and advised he would transport the juvenile home and attempt to locate the father. The juvenile was returned to the father’s custody, and everything checked OK. The father advised the child got out of the car while he was making a phone call and never returned.

– A resident on Alma Avenue called 911 to report an active domestic dispute in which a male had struck her and left the scene. A report was taken on domestic violence.

– An officer advised of a disabled vehicle in the roadway following a property damage accident at Chase Bank on East Main Street.

– A resident in the 400 block of Stella Avenue reported someone stole a leaf blower from his front yard. A report was taken on theft.

– Charges were filed against Dreema Glispie for OVI following a 911 call reporting a vehicle driven by a female had struck two parked cars in the 100 block of Fairview Blvd. and the passenger appeared to be shaken up. One subject was transported to Berger Hospital, and Fletcher’s Towing was called to the scene for two vehicles.

– A resident came to the police station to report a female harassing him and a friend. The officer advised no threats were made, and a report was taken.

– A 911 caller reported a domestic dispute was about to take place in the 100 block of Villa Drive, and a second caller advised items were being thrown around the residence. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident in the area of South Washington and East Franklin streets.

– A resident in the 400 block of South Pickaway Street reported her 5-year-old daughter was missing. The juvenile was located inside the house, and the scene checked OK.

– A caller reported a vehicle driving recklessly in the area of Northridge Road and Nicholas Drive. Officers located the vehicle unoccupied on Sycamore Street.

– Ryan Schwalbaugh was arrested by the Columbus Police Department on a warrant from the Circleville Police Department, and he was transported to Scioto Downs for custody exchange.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Coughlin Automotive on U.S. Route 23. The scene checked OK.

– An officer took a report on possession of drugs following a traffic stop in the 1000 block of state Route 56 East.

– An officer advised he stopped a vehicle that had struck a crossing light at the railroad tracks on West Main Street. A report was taken.

– A caller requested an officer perform a walk-through of her house after she returned home from being gone all day and discovered an open door. The residence checked OK.

– An employee at Cardo’s Pizza on Lancaster Pike reported a suspicous vehicle across the street off and on all night that appeared to be watching the business. Officers made contact with the subject, who advised he just pulls off there from time to time to send text messages to a friend. The scene checked OK.

– A 911 caller reported his mother contacted him saying someone was throwing rocks at the window in the 200 block of Pearl Avenue. Officers made contact with the female, who reported she just heard people outside. The scene checked OK.

– A caller reported a male was breaking into vehicles at Gibby’s on West Main Street. Officers were unable to locate the subject, but a report was taken on theft.

– A 911 caller reported a fight involving three or four people at the Main Street Pub on West Main Street. One of two subjects left the scene prior to the officer’s arrival. Officers remained in the area until the business closed for the night. No report was taken.

April 26

– A resident on Detroiter Avenue reported a known subject was messing with her car and came to her door threatening her and several other subjects. Officers were unable to locate the subject. Officers reported no damage to the caller’s vehicle but advised her if she recognized fresh damage in the morning to call back when she was sober. No report was taken.

– A resident in the 100 block of Sunset Drive reported her daughter’s vehicle had been ransacked.

– A resident in the 200 block of Villa Drive reported his friend’s house had been broken into. A report was taken on burglary.

– A resident in the 500 block of Tower Court called 911 to report her father was “high” and just struck her mother and sister before leaving the scene. The officer advised the male returned to the scene, and a report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– A resident in the 500 block of North Pickaway Street reported their son was being unruly and breaking windows at the residence. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported a vehicle driving recklessly southbound on North Court Street from U.S. Route 23. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

– Officers responded to an activated burglary alarm at Circleville Auto Parts on East Franklin Street. The scene checked OK.

– A Stoutsville resident reported finding a laptop and laptop case lying near the creek in the 200 block of Island Road. A report was taken on found property.

– A resident on Detroiter Avenue reported a male is texting her saying he will come to her home with a gun. A report was taken on threats or harassment.

– A caller reported someone vandalized a grave site at Forest Cemetery on North Court Street. A report was taken.

– Officers responded to an activated burglary alarm at Circle Auto on East Franklin Street. The scene checked OK.

– A resident on North Scioto Street requested an officer stand-by at the YMCA on Nicholas Drive after she purchased an item online from someone and another female was there to purchase the same item. A report was taken.

– A caller reported two males walking on the railroad tracks northbound in the area of Hayward Street. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– A caller advised his mother was at the Eagles on East Main Street and was continuing to drink and drive for fun. He explained his father passed away from drinking and driving, and he was worried about his mother. Officers were advised to be on the lookout for the suspect vehicle.

– A caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the area of Brooks Yates on East High Street with three people walking from the tree line back to the vehicle several times. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

– A caller reported her vehicle was stolen in the 500 block of East Franklin Street within the last half hour. A report was taken on a stolen vehicle.

– A resident in the 400 block of North Scioto Street reported there were people fighting with her for her dog in the area of North Scioto and Water streets. The officer advised he would have to do a follow-up. No report was taken for the time being.

– A caller reported her wallet was stolen from her vehicle while she was at work at CVS Pharmacy on East Main Street.

– Officers responded to another activated alarm at Circle Auto on East Franklin Street. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 200 block of West Water Street reported loud music coming from the 400 block of North Scioto Street. The subjects were located and advised to keep the noise down.

– Extra patrol was requested in the 100 block of Fairview Blvd. after a 911 caller reported a male was threatening to harm her entire family.

– Extra patrol was requested in the 100 block of Fairview Blvd. after a caller reported a diesel truck had been driving up and down the street multiple times during the day, and after his trailer was stolen last week, he was concerned the subjects were looking to steal other items from the area.

– A resident reported a break-in the night before in the 500 block of Glenmont Drive.

– A caller reported a suspicious male in the parking lot at UDF on East Main Street off and on several times throughout the day, and he was now there speaking with some customers. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– A resident in the 100 block of Lewis Avenue reported she was being harassed online and by phone by a male who was creating fake profiles with her photos online and was threatening to contact her school. Officers determined the messages were coming through a dating web site. She was advised to take down her photos, block the other profile and deal with the issue through the web site.
