Lavada Wampler, 86, formerly of Stoutsville, passed away Jan. 13, 2017, in Lancaster.

She was born Dec. 27, 1930, in Columbus, and was the last living child of the late Dave and Cora (Roe) Osborn.

Lavada was a lifelong member of Reese Community Baptist Church. She had previously worked as a furnace operator and retired from CE Glass.

Lavada is survived by her children, Charles E. Wampler of Amanda, Linda (Gene) Carr of Beckley, West Virginia, Patti (Wampler) Davis of Lancaster, Isaac “Ike” (Dianne) Wampler of Circleville and Joyce Wampler of Lancaster; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lavada was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Charles L. Wampler; seven brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Pastor Tad Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
