Frances Ethel (Carney) Ott, 91, of Laurelville, passed away on Jan. 8, 2017, at Logan Elm Nursing Home, Circleville.
She was born on Jan. 17, 1925, in Circleville, the daughter of the late Charles and Leo (Morrison) Carney.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, LeRoy Junior Ott, on Oct. 13, 1991.
She was also predeceased by her siblings, Sam (Helen) Carney, Tom (Bernice) Carney, Stillman (Monk) Carney, Urill (Melvin) Arledge, Blanche (Walter) Hettinger and an infant brother.
She is survived by her beloved children, Larry (Christine) Ott, Ron (Susie) Ott, Gail (Richard) McCabe, Lee (Kim) Ott, and Gerald “Jib” Ott; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several special nieces and nephews.
She was a longtime member of the Pleasant Hill Community Church. She also loved spending time with her family, taking care of others, and was a wonderful cook.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, at Pleasant Hill Church, 15290 St. Rt. 327, Laurelville, with Rev. James Vandagriff officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Hill Funeral Home, Kingston.
