Donald Eugene Gatwood, 87, of Circleville, passed away on Jan. 5, 2017.
He was born on July 18, 1929, in Fairfield County, to Frank and Victoria (Hardesty) Gatwood.
Donald served in the Korean Conflict-520th QuarterMaster Petroleum Supply Company, was a member of the Roundtown Roamers Campers Club and retired from Columbus Southern Electric Company.
He and his wife spent the winters in Florida for 20 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Jeffrey; brother, John (Evelyn) Gatwood; and by sisters, Bernice (Ernest) Pennington, Dorothy Pennington and Carol (John) Kibler.
Donald is survived by his wife, Jeannie (Hinton) Gatwood, whom he married June 23, 1956; children, Dona Jean, Keith (Teri) and Don (Heidi); grandchildren, Gena, Devin, Hilary, Britney, Dustin, Austin, Elizabeth and Hope Anna; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Breanna, Lance, Kinlee, Ryan and Melody; brother, Joe (Therese) Gatwood; and by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, with Pastor John Romer officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
