Craig Foster

Craig Foster, 55, of Ashville, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017, at Grant Medical Center, Columbus.

He was born on Oct. 13, 1961, in Columbus, to Michael W. and Sandra S. (McCoy) Foster.

Craig was the owner of Foster Maintenance and Crane Service.

He was an active member of Village Chapel United Methodist Church, where most recently he had a major part in the building of an indoor skate park on the church grounds. This had become true passion for him, because it could be used by the community.

He was proud to be an Eagle Scout and was a 1979 graduate of Teays Valley High School. Craig was also a member of Lockbourne Lodge F. & A.M.

Craig loved his family, enjoyed being independent and working for himself. He loved his country and the freedoms that we have here.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda S. Foster of Ashville; daughter, Chelsey (Nathan) Boltenhouse of Circleville; parents, Mike and Sandra Foster of Circleville; grandchildren, Natalie, Juliana and Blake; step-sons, Brad Garrett and Matt (Katie) Garrett; brother, Kevin (Tammy) Foster of Granville; sister, Pam (Steve) Smith of Circleville; nieces and nephews, Meredith, Nick, Ellie, Anna, Nate, Sam and Aubrey; and numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandy Foster, in 2007.

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, at Village Chapel United Methodist Church, 30 Circleville Ave., Ashville, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kevin Pees officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Township Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial be made to Village Chapel U.M.C, Skate Park, 30 Circleville Ave., Ashville, OH 43103.
