Ruth A. Brown, 68, of Clarksburg, passed away 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016, in the Adena Regional Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 22, 1948, in Pickaway County, to the late Samuel C. Caldwell and Virginia M. Echard.
Surviving are her husband, William “Howard” Brown of Clarksburg; children, Michael (Victoria) Brown, Danielle (Joe Jr.) Woodruff and Marcus Brown, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Leigha (Jake Taylor), Jordan (Kris Zimmerman) Mills, W. Clayton Brown, Brittany (Brady Woltz) Brown, Brookelynn Brown and Ashlynn Brown; a great-grandson, Braydan Taylor; a sister, Wanda (Darrell) Wright of Circleville; sisters-in-law, Stella Knece and Martha Robertson, both of Circleville, and Thelma Nutter, of Ashville; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her mother and stepfather; father; mother-in-law; father-in-law; a nephew; and several brothers-in-law.
Ruth thought the world of her stepfather, Victor Echard, as he was the one who was there for her, her mother and sister. That was her Dad!
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, in Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Denzel Wright officiating. There will be no calling hours.
