Randall Lee Wilson, born July 8, 1949, passed surrounded by love on Jan. 1, 2017, at the Kobacker House, a peaceful and caring community in Columbus.

Born in Ashville to Eugene and Jane Wilson, he was the eldest of four children.

Randy graduated from Teays Valley High School, class of 1967. He earned a BS from Capital University and an MS from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy.

He started his career as a chemist with the Ohio Department of Health, followed by employment at Battelle, Burgess & Niple, Nestle and the Ohio Department of Agriculture (retired).

After he “flunked” retirement, he worked part-time delivering Meals on Wheels, a job he savored. When he wasn’t reading, he was restoring and racing classic cars. His passion for life could be seen through his extraordinary and expeditionary travels, and his love for his family.

He is survived by his life partner, Marie Trudeau of Columbus; sons, Tyler (Olga) Wilson of New York, New York, and Brewster (Lindsey) Wilson of Grain Valley, Missouri; grandchildren, Raylee and Hudson Wilson; father, Eugene Wilson; sisters, Janice (Mike) Ramey and Nancy (Robert) Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by sister, Judy Simaoui; and mother, Jane Wilson.

Family will receive friends from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at the Maeder-Quint-Tiberi Funeral Home, 1068 S. High St., Columbus, where memories of Randy’s life will be shared at 6:30 p.m.
