January 29

– A resident in the 5000 block of McLean Mill Road reported an unknown suspect had either found or stolen her wallet and used her credit cards in several places. A report was taken on theft.

– A resident in the 21000 block of Pherson Pike reported a stolen wallet.

– Deputies responded to reports of a domestic dispute in the 14000 block of state Route 104, Ashville. Both parties advised of an argument, but no injuries were reported and no charges were filed.

– A resident in the 9000 block of Tarlton Road reported an unknown suspect had slit one of his tires. A report was taken on criminal damaging.

– A resident in the 600 block of South Water Street, Williamsport reported an unruly juvenile. A report was taken.

– A deputy responded to a complaint on a person in the 2000 block of Sioux Drive, Circleville. A report was filed.

– A deputy and the sheriff’s canine officer Turpin assisted with a free air narcotics check on a traffic stop on U.S. Route 23 with the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The driver was issued a citation for a traffic violation by the OSHP.

– A deputy responded to reports of a suspicious person in the 1700 block of Shoshoni Drive, Circleville. The subject was not located.

– Bruce Phillips, 19, of Orient, advised he lost control of his vehicle on the ice on Darby Creek Road and slid off the road, down an embankment and into a tree. No injuries were reported.

– Jessica Kobel, 23, of Washington Court House, advised she lost control of her vehicle on the ice on Main Street, New Holland, and struck a tree. Injuries were reported in the accident.

– Pepper Stout, 36, of Mt. Sterling, advised she lost control of her vehicle on the ice on U.S. Route 62 and crossed the center line, striking a vehicle driven by Leah Waldrop, 37, of Washington Court House. Injuries were reported in the accident.

– Robin Jay Barney, 42, of Columbus, was arrested on a warrant of indictment from Common Pleas Court on the original charge of non-support of dependents.

– Michaela L. Prince, 18, of Columbus, was arrested on a warrant from Circleville Municipal Court on the original charge of assault.

January 30

– A resident in the 13000 block of London Road, Orient, reported her ex-boyfriend had assaulted her. A report was taken.

– Deputies responded to alarm drops in the 500 block of Tarlton Road and the 6500 block of Hitler Road #2. Everything checked secure at each location.

– A deputy and the canine unit Marko assisted with a free air narcotics check during a traffic stop on South Court Street at Sperry Drive with the Ohio State Highway Patrol. An arrest was made by the OSHP.

– A deputy performed a well-being check in the 6000 block of state Route 361, Circleville. The subject checked OK.

– A deputy and the canine unit Turpin assisted with a free air narcotics check on a traffic stop on U.S. Route 23, Ashville, with the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The canine did not indicate on the vehicle.

– A deputy responded to reports of a deer striking the side of a vehicle on South Perry Road. Due to the deer’s injuries, it was put down without incident.

– A deputy responded to an activated alarm in the 11000 block of Lockbourne Eastern Road, Ashville. Everything checked secure.

– A deputy responded to a squad run with Harrison Township EMS in the 3700 block of St. Paul Road, Ashville. The subject was transported to Berger Hospital.

– A deputy responded to a domestic dispute on Harrison Street, Tarlton. Everything checked OK.

– Patricia Carroll, 29, of Amanda, was cited for failure to control when her vehicle went off the road, striking a ditch. Injuries were reported in the accident.

– Heather Bigman, 24, of Stoutsville, reportedly made a wide right turn onto Shoemaker Road from state Route 159 and struck a tree. Injuries were reported in the accident.

January 31

– A resident in the 14000 block of Era Road, Mt. Sterling, reported finding his dog dead from an apparent gunshot wound. A report was taken on cruelty to animals.

– Deputies responded to reports of an open door in the 19000 block of Commercial Point Road. Nothing appeared to have been disturbed.

– A deputy responded to School Street, Williamsport, on a juvenile complaint. A report was filed.

– A deputy responded to reports of a domestic dispute in the 1900 block of Chippewa Drive, Circleville. A report was filed.

– A deputy responded to a report of found property in the 15000 block of Ett Noecker, Ashville. An arrangement was made with the township trustees to pick up the property.

– Larry Leasure, 74, of Chillicothe, was cited for assured clear distance ahead when his vehicle struck a vehicle driven by Russell Yaple, 24, of Circleville, on state Route 104. No injuries were reported.

– Melissa Bachstetter, 42, of Williamsport, struck a deer while traveling on Ballah Road.

– Mikah R. Beatty, 25, of Albany, was arrested on a warrant from Circleville Municipal Court for failure to appear on the original charges of failure to reinstate and driving under suspension.

February 1

– Levi A. Kottman, 32, of Grove City, was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal damaging at Deer Creek State Park Lodge after callers reported an intoxicated male had been bothering people and broke a lamp.

– A caller reported his daughter’s cell phone had been stolen from McDowell Exchange School on Tarlton Road.

– A resident in the 11000 block of state Route 104, Ashville, reported he went to file his taxes and found someone had already filed them. A report was taken on identity theft.

– A caller reported she was shopping at Walmart, and the person she came with left her there, taking her purse and contents with him in the vehicle. A report was taken on theft.

– Christopher R. Clark, 24, of Columbus, was arrested for OVI, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after an accident on Commercial Point Road at Florence Chapel Pike in which he lost control of his vehicle, striking a ditch.

– A deputy responded to a complaint on a person in the 14400 block of state Route 104. A report was taken.

– Matthew Cupp, 22, of Frankfort, struck a deer while traveling on state Route 104.

– Kathy Fairrow, 59, of Circleville, advised she lost control of her vehicle on state Route 56 and struck a ditch. No injuries were reported.

February 2

– A resident in the 2000 block of Chickasaw Drive reported her ex-boyfriend would not stop calling her. A report was taken on telephone harassment.

– A resident in the 9000 block of Perrill Road, Ashville, reported an unknown suspect forced entry into his residence and outbuilding, stealing several tools and a gun. A report was taken on burglary and theft.

– A deputy responded to an alarm drop in the 7000 block of Snyder Road, Orient. A report was filed.

– A deputy responded to a report of an injured deer at state Route 762 and Darby Creek Road, Orient. A deer carcass receipt was filled out, and the deer was given to the caller.

– Deputies responded to a complaint on a person in the 10000 block of state Route 104, Lockbourne. Upon speaking with the subject, deputies cleared the scene without incident.

– A resident in the 7000 block of Buckeye Trail, Circleville, reported possible property damage. A report was filed.

– Kathy Rumbaugh, 24, of Columbus, was cited for failure to yield when she struck a vehicle driven by Ronald Scarberry, 48, of Ashville, on state Route 752. Injuries were reported in the accident.

– Jennifer Adkins of Circleville reported her vehicle was struck by an unknown vehicle while parked at Walmart. A report was taken on a private property accident.

– Kristin Williams, 25, of Mt. Sterling, was cited for failure to control when she stated she fell asleep while driving on U.S. Route 62 and ran off the roadway into a ditch.

– Michael W. Canter II, 30, of Ashville, was arrested on a warrant from Circleville Municipal Court for failure to appear on the original charge of non-compliance suspension.

– Jesse Brown, 25, of Millersport, was arrested on an attachment for contempt issued by Pickaway County Juvenile Court for non-support.

– Leon Tyree, 36, of Hilliard, was arrested on an attachment for contempt issued by Pickaway County Juvenile Court for non-support.

– Whitney L. Campbell, 27, of Commercial Point, was arrested on a warrant issued by Circleville Municipal Court for failure to appear on the original charge of failure to reinstate.
