Magee Sprague

The Ohio Society Daughters of the American Revolution is honored to announce Magee B. Sprague of Ashville has earned a $1,000 “Wings of Eagles” scholarship from OSDAR.

Sprague is the daughter of Dave and Marnee Sprague and a senior at Teays Valley High School. She exemplifies the current OSDAR theme of “Love of Country, Loyalty to the Objectives of DAR, and Friendship with Daughters Everywhere.”

She has worked hard throughout her high school career to be graduating with honors and in the top 10 percent of her class. Sprague currently serves as student body president, a leader in the anti-bullying club and as editor-in-chief of the school newspaper. She also is a member of National Honor Society, the varsity golf team and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Next year, she plans to attend The Ohio State University to major in journalism and communications.

Sprague is the local recipient of three “Wings of Eagles” scholarships presented by OSDAR this year. These scholarships are based upon high academic standards, activities within the community and school and letters of recommendation. To date, OSDAR has awarded $45,000 to graduating seniors in Ohio.
