This letter is written to support Keith Peters, a Democrat running for Pickaway County Commissioner.
I have known Keith for almost 40 years as a friend, fellow farmer and township trustee. As a lifelong resident and fifth-generation farmer, Keith knows that Pickaway County was built on the backs of hardworking family farmers. However, Keith is also a practical businessman who understands the need for controlled development in growing our economy and creating good jobs.
Keith understands that we need to prepare people in Pickaway County for these new jobs and get them the skills to provide for their families as our county changes. Keith would be the best candidate to successfully strike a balance between our agricultural history and our bright economic future.
Having known Keith for 40 years, I can tell you that he is not a politician. Keith is running for county commissioner for the same reason he ran for trustee: to serve the community and make it a better place to live.
As a Harrison Township Trustee, he sacrificed his personal interests for the public good to support the development of the Joint Economic Development District located within a few miles of the land he farms. In the end, it brought jobs to Pickaway County and also new roads and bridges.
This is the kind of selfless approach that he will bring to serve our whole county. Please join me in supporting Keith Peters, the best choice for Pickaway County.
