Dear Editor:

I am writing this letter in support of Keith Peters, a candidate for Pickaway County Commissioner. I have known Keith for more than a decade, during which time I had the pleasure of working with him as a Harrison Township Trustee.

As a Harrison Township Trustee for over 12 years, Keith was the point person for the Township in the negotiation of the Joint Economic Development District between the City of Columbus, the villages of Ashville and South Bloomfield, and Pickaway County, which brought the railway intermodal terminal to our county. Keith often communicated across party lines to get the job done. In doing so, he earned the respect and admiration of local leaders and elected officials across the County.

Keith routinely answered calls from constituents that had issues, was known to use his own equipment to help maintain public areas, and even got out of bed on cold nights to run the snow plow. He would bring the same dedication and work ethic to the Commissioner’s Office.

It is not only his experience I am writing about but also his personal character. He treats others how he would expect to be treated, giving respect to their opinions. Most importantly, Keith can be trusted to make decisions that are good for the community.

I support Keith not just because of what he says, but for what he has done for the citizens of Harrison Township and what he can do for the citizens of Pickaway County.

Keith is a public servant in every sense of the word. I encourage a vote for Keith Peters for Pickaway County Commissioner.

Sincerely,

Doug Clark
Harrison Township Trustee
Ashville Police Chief
