Cletus E. “Pete” Kuhn Jr.

Cletus E. “Pete” Kuhn Jr., 68, of Circleville, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, at Brown Memorial Home in Circleville.

He was born Oct. 16, 1947, in Circleville, the son of Cletus E. Kuhn Sr. and Gracille May (McCain) Kuhn.

He was preceded in death by his father; and his son, Christopher “Fred” Kuhn.

Pete felt blessed that he came to know the Lord Jesus as his personal Savior through his friend, Chuck Pritchard.

Pete got his start as an auto mechanic working for Joe Moats during high school and continued in that profession until he retired from the Frito-Lay Company. He had a passion for motorcycles, especially Harley Davidsons and enjoyed the family hobby of racing motorcycles of all types and keeping them in working order.

He is survived by his mother, Gracille; daughter, Krista Pernell; son, Cletus E. “J.R.” (Beth) Kuhn III; grandchildren, Tyler and Ashley Kuhn and Christian “Little Art” Pernell; sisters, Sandy (Tim) Carpenter and Shirley (Millard) Good, all of Circleville; brother, Tommy Ray (Bette) Kuhn of Florida; friend and Christopher’s mother, Peggy Perry Kuhn; and mother of Krista and J.R., Cheri Randall; special friends, David Horn, Ken Reese, Boo Hill and Marvin Wilson; and many other good friends and relatives.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015, at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Dr. Doyne Wiggins officiating. Burial will be in Harrison Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Emergency Clearinghouse, P.O. Box 1011, Circleville, OH 43113; or Berger Hospice, 1170 N. Court St., Suite B, Circleville.
