Betty Jeane (Devors) Havens, 82, of Ashville, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015, at her home.

She was born on May 17, 1933, in Pickaway County, to the late Milbern P. DeVors and Rosetta (Barker) DeVors.

Betty attended Ashville Schools for her first 10 years of school but graduated from Huntington High School in 1950. She worked for the Chillicothe Telephone Company for a short time, was a homemaker, and later worked for PICCA in Circleville for eight years.

Betty was a faithful member of Ashville Church of Christ and Christian Union where she served as the Sunday School Superintendent. She ministered in Women in His Service and many other church activities as well.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Richard Havens; her beloved son, Larry Havens; brothers, Virgil, Dick and Junior Devors, and sisters, Bernice Pettibone and Mable Little.

Betty is survived by her son, Michael (Ellen) Havens of Ashville; daughter, Deborah Jeane Havens of New York; grandchildren, Amy Havens, Chrystal Gillilan, Chad (Jackie) Havens, Josh (Michelle) Havens, Heather (Johnny) Corbin, Brittany (Stephen) Nichols and Brad Havens; great-grandchildren, Seth Gillilan, Evie Gillilan, Gunner Havens, Zayden Havens, Jonathon Corbin, Andrew Nichols, Zoe Nichols, Hank Havens and Olivia Mock.

The family would like to thank Berger Hospice and Pastor Kenneth Fuller for his faithful attention to Betty over the years.

Friends may call from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St., Ashville. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015, with Reverend Don Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow in Harrison Township Cemetery, South Bloomfield.
