Inez E. Peterson, age 86, of Washington Court House, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2015, in Fayette County Memorial Hospital.
She was born Aug. 17, 1929, in Cherokee, Iowa, daughter of the late Leslie and Florence (Kellogg) Lingwood.
She was a member of the Derby United Methodist Church, a retired beautician having her shop in Derby and member of Washington C.H. Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Bill Peterson; daughter, Sandy Spradlin; grandson, Billy Joe Spradlin; infant granddaughter, Candy Lane; brothers and sisters, Clyde, Walt, Earl Smith, Leona Myer and Viola Vandenhall; and dear friend, Dorothy Robinette.
She is survived by daughters, Marilyn Peterson and Barb (Jim) Everhart, both of Washington Court House; son, Mike (Angela) Peterson of Derby; son-in-law, Kenny Spradlin of Mt. Sterling; brother-in-law, Bobby (Judy) Peterson of Columbus; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren with two on the way; and special family, Gene and Carol Carfrey of Haines City, Florida.
A funeral service will be held at noon on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, at the Derby United Methodist Church, Rev. Densil Wright officiating, with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to time of service.
