Pike Sheriff Looking for Two People Considered Armed and Dangerous

PIKE – Sheriff of Pike County James Nelson reports that they have one person in custody and two people that they have identified but are looking for after a shooting that occurred last night.


On Tuesday morning, April 14, 2020 at 8:37 A.M., deputies along with the Sheriff responded to a call of gun shots being fired at 89 Kennard Road, Waverly, Ohio. Information was given by witnesses that two vehicles fled the scene, one male occupant in a red pickup truck and a black four door vehicle with a female driver and male passenger. A red pickup truck matching the description given was stopped by deputies on North Street at the Waverly Eagles. The driver, identified as Andrew Saxby was taken into custody after drugs and a loaded firearm were located in his vehicle. Saxby was charged with felonious assault and lodged in the Butler County Jail. Warrants have also been issued for felonious assault against the occupants of the second vehicle who have been identified a Donald R. Henson Jr., age 45, and Ashley S. Hicks., age 24. Anyone who comes in contact with Henson or Hicks is asked to contact the Pike County Sheriff’s Office at 740-947-2111. The pair should be considered armed and dangerous.
