PIKE – Pike County Health district is notifying the area of their first confirmed case of COVID-19.
During a live interview with Dr. Acton she said that confirmed cases are the tip of the iceberg, there are people who have COVID-19 that are at home recovering and will not be ever tested, younger healthy people can deal with COVID-19 at home like a flu. Acton also said that they are limited in testing and only testing people in severe cases.
Pike county says that the positive case was contracted from inside the state, that this person had traveled to the Cleveland area.
