Pickaway Occurrences Drop to Lower Occurrences in State

OHIO – Governor Dewine gave a update to the COVID-19 pandemic on Monday, and said that cases had leveled out.

Dewine said that he would be opening up the vaccine to all adults and teens 16+

The Governor said that vaccine distribution have sped up and that the Johnson and Johnson vaccine will be able to speed up production.

Dewine said Hospital patient counts have starting to see a plateau in cases. Cases were dropping for a while and have leveled out. The state says that they will have to keep watching.

Pickaway county has moved down below 50% of the county in highest occurrence in the state. In December Pickaway rated at number one in the state, now Pickaway ranks 47th in the state at 123.2 per 100k. Dewine promised that when the state averaged under 100 per 100k he would lift mask mandates.
