Pickaway Fire Crews Plan Satellite Stations During COVID-19

PICKAWAY – Some Fire Departments in the area are working on social distancing their crews to help keep firefighters and EMT’s Healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic, this will be done with satellite locations.


According to Scioto Township Fire Department they will be using the Commercial Point Men’s Club building.

Harrison Fire Department will be housing a satellite location at Village Chapel Church Multipurpose building.

Circleville Fire has a alternative location specified but at this time are not using per Circleville Chief.

These methods are being used to separate staff to reduce spread of COVID-19 if one of the firefighters were to contract. Even though the firefighters will be separate at times, they will be in constant contact with each other by phone and video throughout daily work.
