PICKAWAY – Next week, the Pickaway Partner for Health will begin its survey of Pickaway County residents as part of a community health assessment process. The
Pickaway Partner for Health is working closely with the Hospital Council of
Northwest Ohio and researchers at the University of Toledo to conduct the
survey. Over the next two months, more than 2,000 Pickaway County residents
will be randomly selected to participate in a health survey. Residents of
Pickaway who are randomly selected are urged to complete and return the
survey.
The anonymous survey asks participants to answer questions about general
health, risk and protective health factors, and access to health care. These
answers will create a snapshot of the health of Pickaway County residents. The
results will guide many public and private agencies in their program planning
over the next several years by identifying key health problems. The final
community health assessment report will be published in the spring of 2020 at
which time the results will be used to prioritize needs and create a community
health improvement plan.
“We want as many people as possible to respond to the survey, your thoughts,
concerns, and views on the needs of the community are vital to this process,”
stated Health Commissioner, Nasandra Wright, MPH, RS. “Your answers will help
us develop a plan to improve the health of Pickaway County.”
The Pickaway Partner for Health is composed of many public and private
agencies that make up the public health system. OhioHealth Berger Hospital is
one of those agencies. “We are proud to be a supporting member of the
Pickaway Partner for Health,” stated Tim Colburn, President, OhioHealth Berger.
“Keeping healthcare local and providing a network of expanded resources for
Pickaway County is vital in keeping our community healthy for years to come.”
