(COLUMBUS, Ohio) — The Division of State Fire Marshal’s Fire and Explosion Investigation Bureau is seeking tips from the public regarding a fire at a duplex located on Copperfield Drive in Chillicothe (Ross County).
The fire originated in one of the garages of the duplex during the early morning hours of Aug. 15. The Union Township Fire Department responded to the fire and reported the duplex was occupied at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.
The investigation is being conducted jointly by the State Fire Marshal’s office and the Ross County Sheriff’s Office.
A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered by the Blue Ribbon Arson Committee for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the fire.
