New Plymouth OH- Arrest Warrant Leads To Foot Pursuit and Drug Trafficking Charges For Two

Vinton County OH-  On Wednesday, March 25, 2020, Deputies Lewis Dundon, Kyle Ferguson, and Roger McNeely went to the residence of Terry L. Carter age 32 in New Plymouth. Carter had a warrant issued through the Adult Parole Authority. Carter’s girlfriend, Holly N. Reffitt age 25 of Ray, also had warrants issued through Common Pleas Court for Obstructing Official Business, Obstructing Justice, and Failure to Comply and was supposed to be at the residence. After an investigation was conducted, it was determined that Carter was inside the residence. Entry was made into the trailer. Reffitt was found laying in the living room floor. Carter had fled out the back door and into the woods. After a short chase, Deputies were able to take Carter into custody. During the arrests, Deputies could see in plain site suspected narcotics and paraphernalia. 50.64gr of Methamphetamine, 8 glass pipes, 3 digital scales, hypodermic needles, a butane torch, several small plastic bags, and a small hard plastic container were confiscated.

Carter and Reffitt were taken to South Eastern Ohio Regional Jail on the active warrants and charged with Felony 2 Trafficking in Drugs, Felony 2 Possession of Drugs, Resisting Arrest, and Obstructing Official Business. A bond hearing will be schedule at a later date.
