March Maple Syrup Festival Events Canceled at State Parks Amidst Ongoing COVID-19 Concerns

COLUMBUS, Ohio – In response to the developing public health situation with COVID-19 and the Ohio Department of Health’s (ODH) guidance on avoiding large gatherings, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) has canceled the following maple syrup festival events scheduled for this weekend at:

Malabar Farm State Park, March 14-15, 

Hueston Woods State Park, March 14-15, and 

Indian Lake State Park, March 14-15.

Although these festivals have closed some are offering smaller scaled down version with some items for sale still.

This situation is evolving quickly, but as of right now ODNR properties are open to the public. We are closely monitoring the situation and will make any changes that the conditions warrant. We will update the media and the public should any of our properties close unexpectedly
