Lancaster OH- Lancaster Fire Department Says “See You Later” To One Firefighter/Medic and Hello To Another

Lancaster OH- The Lancaster Fire Department recently announced the retirement of a long time firefighter/medic and the hiring of another.

In a post on social media, the department had this to say about a 29 year veteran employees retirement.

“Firefighter/Paramedic Rich Rhodes is retiring after 29 years of dedicated service to the City of Lancaster. Rich spent his entire career as a paramedic on Medic 2, covering the city’s west side. This medic is the busiest medic in the city.

We want to wish Rich a happy, healthy retirement enjoying family and friends for many years to come.

Thank you for your service.”

In a separate announcement made on social media, the department announced the hiring of a new firefighter/medic and this is what they had to say.

“Lancaster Fire Department welcomes Firefighter/Paramedic Fred Murray as a new hire. Fred comes to us with years of experience as a firefighter and medic from southwest Ohio and Louisville, Kentucky.

We are excited to have Fred join our department and look forward to him serving this great city for many years to come.”
