USA – Maine has several islands off the rocky coast of its southern border of the ALantic ocean that are only passable by boat or air. One of these Islands has voted to keep all people away.

North Haven Board votes on Sunday to completely ban all visitors, and seasonal residents from coming to the island. This is from fear of the COVID-19 pandemic, currently there are no cases on the island.

The order even includes health care workers.

North Haven has a population of around 400 people and that expands like a lot of different small Maine towns in the spring and summer as “snowbirds” people who live in warmer climates during winter months come back to their summer homes in Maine.
