Deputies responded to a Voris Rd. residence for a medical emergency.—–
April 20, 2020



Deputies responded to a Phelps Rd. residence for a burglary compliant. After investigation, deputies identified a suspect, collected evidence and presented the case file to the Prosecutor’s Office for burglary charges.—–
April 21, 2020
Deputies responded to the parking lot of GoMart for a custody dispute. After the deputy’s intervention, the situation was taken care of for the time being. The parties were told they could follow up with the court should they choose.—–

Deputies responded to a burglary complaint at a Buena Vista Rd. residence. Deputies processed the scene for evidence. The case remains under investigation.—–

ODOT workers found a GPS monitor device that appeared to have been cut off. After investigation, deputies learned which agency had been monitoring the person and will turn the equipment over to them.—–

Deputies took a report involving a civil issue involving a cabin owner and renter.—–
April 23, 2020
Deputies responded to U.S. 33 after a passerby reported a person slumped over the steering wheel. When deputies arrived, they found three people in and around the vehicle. Deputies saw laying on the ground what appeared to be narcotics and store security device containers which led deputies to believe that there was stolen property in the vehicle. After interviewing the persons and searching the vehicle, deputies found several items believed to be narcotics and stolen property from a Lancaster business. The narcotics will be sent to the BCI crime lab for analysis. All three were released pending charges.—–

A Murray City resident came to the Sheriff’s Office to file a report of criminal trespass. Deputies will attempt to contact the suspect. The case remains under investigation.—–

A Murray City resident reported an incident of telecommunications harassment.—–
April 24, 2020
Deputies responded to a Stump Run Rd. residence for a burglary complaint. The victim told deputies that their neighbor had saw a person breaking into the residence and interrupted the burglary. The person fled when confronted. The case remains under investigation.—–

Deputies responded to a Gore-Greendale Rd. property for a breaking and entering complaint. The victim told deputies that several items were missing.—–
April 24, 2020
Deputies responded to the Family Dollar in Laurelville after an employee believed a person inside the store was shoplifting. When confronted by deputies, the person admitted to stealing from the store. The store did not wish to pursue criminal charges, but did request deputies issue a criminal trespass warning to the person.—–

A Rockbridge resident reported a burglary that had occurred on April 17, 2020. The case was referred to the detective bureau for follow up.—–

Deputies responded to an unruly juvenile complaint at a Murray City residence. No charges were filed.—–

Deputies responded to a domestic violence complaint at a Stage Rd. residence. The suspect had fled prior to the deputy’s arrival. After investigation, deputies filed a request for a warrant on the suspect.—–

A Central Avenue resident contacted the Sheriff’s Office to report an unauthorized charge on a credit card.—–

Deputies were dispatched to SR 93 for a woman walking along the roadway. Deputies learned that the person was from Toledo and that she and some friends had rented a cabin and had an argument the previous night. When she woke up, her friends had left her. She was provided transportation to wait on family to pick her up.—–

Deputies investigated a complaint of a violation of the Health Commissioner’s order involving persons renting a cabin. After investigation the case file was forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for criminal charges.—–

Deputies responded to a Middlefork Rd. residence after the owner found what was believed to be illegal narcotics in some property that they had found in the driveway. Deputies collected the drugs.—–

Deputies responded to a Maysville-Greendale Rd. residence for a domestic violence complaint. After investigation, deputies forwarded juvenile charges to the Prosecutor’s Office.—–

Deputies responded to a domestic violence complaint at a Stage Coach Rd. residence. The suspect had fled prior to the deputy’s arrival. After investigation, charges were forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office.—–

Deputies responded to a SR 328 residence for a theft complaint. After talking to the parties it was undermined if the item was missing or stolen.—–

Deputies responded to a Charles St. residence after a gun shot. The resident said they felt they were being stalked and fired the gun into the air to let them know they were home. Deputies seized the firearm for safe keeping. Deputies made a referral to a social services agency.
