April 13, 2020
Deputies responded to a breaking and entering complaint at an unoccupied residence on Nickle Plate Rd. Deputies searched the residence and nothing of value was in the residence. Deputies secured the residence.—–



April 13, 2020
Deputies took a theft report from a Geiger Rd. business. An employee told deputies that a client’s money was missing. The investigation is ongoing.—–
April 13, 2020
Deputies responded to a domestic violence complaint at a Maple St. residence. The suspect had left prior to the deputy’s arrival. After investigation, deputies will file for a warrant.—–
April 14, 2020
Deputies took a menacing report from an East Fork Rd. resident. The complainant did not want any further action other than having the report documented.—–

Detectives received a report of a sexual assault that had occurred in January 2020. The investigation is ongoing.—–

Deputies took a theft of medication report from a Maysville-Williams Rd. group home.—–
April 14, 2020
Deputies investigated a crash on Logan Rd. near the intersection of Harrison Rd. in which a vehicle drove off of the right side of the roadway striking a parked vehicle. Amanda Jo. Findley, Bremen, OH was cited for Failure to Control.—–
April 17, 2020
Deputies responded to a criminal trespassing complaint at a Dupler Rd. address. The property owner found two people mud running in their fields causing several thousands of dollars of damages. When deputies arrived the vehicles were stuck and needed towed. Deputies had the vehicles towed, told the persons that they were not to be back on the property and forwarded the case file to the Prosecutor’s Office for review of criminal trespass charges.—–
April 17, 2020
A Moore Rd. resident came to the Sheriff’s Office to report a scam involving their telephone carrier. The victim told deputies that someone had charged phone calls to their account. The investigation is ongoing.—–
April 18, 2020
Deputies responded to a Shriner St. Laurelville residence for a criminal damaging complaint. The victim told deputies that they heard a loud bang, went outside and discovered that three windows on their vehicle had been broken.—–
April 18, 2020
Deputies responded to a call of an argument where gun shots were fired at a Griffith Rd. residence. After investigation, deputies learned that during an argument people were told to leave and when they didn’t a shot was fired into the ground. All parties were separated and the case file was sent to the Prosecutor’s Office for review.—–
April 18, 2020
Detectives saw a male walking on the train tracks close to the Falls Mill Bridge. When questioning the person, they told detectives that they were in possession of syringes and that they used methamphetamine and heroin. Detectives received permission to search the property and found several counterfeit U.S. currency bills and drug paraphernalia. The seized items will be sent to the BCI crime lab for analysis.—–

Deputies responded to a domestic argument at a Stump Run Rd. residence. No violence occurred and no charges were filed.—–
April 19, 2020
Deputies responded to a SR 93 residence for a suicidal person. Deputies transported to HVCH.—–
April 19, 2020
Deputies responded to a SR 56 residence for a shooting. After investigation, deputies confirmed that the shooting happened accidentally when the owner failed to properly clear the handgun prior to begin cleaning it. HCEMS transported the person to HVCH with non-life threatening injuries.
