January 8, 2020
A Milford, OH resident reported a sexual assault that occurred while visiting Hocking County. The case is under investigation by the detective bureau.—–

A female reported to deputies that she had been held against her will and sexually assaulted. The case is under investigation by the detective bureau.—–

January 9, 2020
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Chieftain Dr. for an equipment violation. When deputies made contact with the driver, a strong odor of marijuana was noticed. The driver provided the deputy with a bag of marijuana and paraphernalia. The driver was issued a citation for each violation.—–

Deputies responded to a Buena Vista Rd. residence for a breaking and entering complaint. Deputies processed and collected evidence from the scene. The case remains under investigation.—–

Deputies responded with HCEMS to a 911 call for an overdose. The person will be referred to Project HOPE.—–

January 9, 2019
A Hocking County resident came to the Sheriff’s Office to report an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The victim told deputies that they had given permission for the suspect to use the vehicle for two days, but they haven’t returned the vehicle in 40 days. The victim wants to prosecute. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen.—–

Deputies responded to Dogwood Crossing for a theft complaint. Employees told deputies that a person stole firewood. Employees provided deputies with video surveillance. The case remains under investigation.—–

Deputies responded to a Collison Rd. residence for a prowler complaint. Deputies searched the area, but found no evidence of anyone or attempted entry to the residence.—–

Deputies responded to a Geiger Rd. residence for medical emergency. HCEMS transported.—–

Deputies responded to the Logan-Hocking Schools Opportunity Center for an unruly juvenile. Juvenile probation ordered the juvenile detained at JDC. Additional charges were forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office.—–

January 10, 2020
Deputies responded to a reported vehicle crash at Chieftain Sunoco SR 328. After investigation, it was determined that no crash occurred, but in speaking with the driver, deputies observed white pills in the drivers possession believed to be Acetaminophen and Oxycodone Hydrochloride which the driver did not have a prescription for. The evidence was seized and case file presented to the Prosecutor’s Office for potential indictment.—–

January 11, 2020
Deputies responded to a Jane St. Rockbridge residence for a domestic argument. No violence occurred and no charges were filed.—–

Deputies responded to a Goose Creek Rd. residence for a criminal damaging complaint. The victim told deputies that his brother damaged his riding mower.—–

Deputies responded to a domestic violence complaint at a Griffith Rd. residence. After investigation, deputies arrested and charged both parties, Harold M. Frost, 50, Logan and Jennifer J. Frost, 36, Logan with Domestic Violence and Assault. Harold Frost was transported to the SEORJ. Jennifer Frost was transported to the Middleport Jail.—–

Deputies responded to a theft complaint at a Hocking Drive business. The victim told deputies that a skid steer was stolen. The case remains under investigation.—–

Deputies responded to a 911 call regarding an assault at a Laurelville residence. The case remains under investigation.—–

January 13, 2020
A New Straitsville resident came to the Sheriff’s Office to report a theft. The victim told deputies that they were riding in a friend’s vehicle, when they stopped the vehicle and asked the victim to get something from the trunk. When they exited the vehicle, the friend sped off, leaving the victim stranded and the victim’s property in the vehicle. The case remains under investigation.
