March 27, 2020
The Dog Warden was called to a Starr Route Rd. residence for aggressive dogs. The complainant told deputies that the neighbor’s dogs had attacked their dog. The owners of the aggressive dogs surrendered them to the Dog Warden.—–

March 28, 2020
Deputies took a theft report from a Monarch Lane resident. The victim told deputies that a kayak and tool box had been stolen from their pickup truck.—–

March 30, 2020
Deputies took a theft report of a bicycle from a West St. resident.—–

March 31, 2020
Deputies responded to a Clay Lick Rd. residence for a menacing complaint. After an investigation, deputies found discrepancies between the involved parties. No charges were filed, but deputies issued warnings for disorderly conduct.—–

April 1, 2020
Deputies were called to a Goose Creek Rd. residence for an assault complaint. The case remains under investigation.—–

April 1, 2020
Deputies responded to a suspicious person complaint at an Old McArthur Rd. residence. After deputies made contact with the individuals, they discovered that Donald Carter, 33, Guysville had outstanding warrants from both the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office and the Athens County Sheriff’s Office. Carter was transferred to the custody of the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office.—–

April 2, 2020
Deputies responded to a Drummond Dr. residence for a presumed overdose death.—–

April 3, 2020
Deputies were called to Hide-A-Way Hills by security after a juvenile was caught stealing an ATV. After investigating the matter, the juvenile was released into their parent’s custody. Charges will be forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for the juvenile.—–

April 3, 2020
Deputies responded to a Voris Rd. residence for a criminal damaging complaint. The victim told deputies that they had saw three young males hitting their mailbox with what they believe to be a baseball bat. The investigation is ongoing.—–

April 4, 2020
Deputies responded to a domestic argument at a SR 664 residence. No charges were filed.—–

April 4, 2020
Deputies responded to a domestic violence complaint at a Broad St. Laurelville residence. Two brothers began arguing and one brother put his arm through a window cutting himself. The other brother fired a round from a handgun. He then hid the firearm, but later produced it for the deputies. The injured was transported by HCEMS for his laceration. After being treated and released, Andrew Sutton, 31, Laurelville returned to the property and attacked his brother with a sword. After dropping the sword the two began to fist fight, with Andrew suffering a broken arm. After being treated and released, Sutton was arrested and charged with Felonious Assault and Domestic Violence and transported to the SEORJ.—–

April 5, 2020
Deputies responded to a Lake Logan Rd. residence for a domestic argument. During the investigation it became obvious to deputies that Justin F. Brunney, 31, Logan was under the influence of narcotics. Deputies found what they believed to be methamphetamine and other drugs where Brunney had just been. Brunney, while being arrested, resisted and fought with deputies. Brunney was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Resisting Arrest. Brunney also had outstanding warrants from Lancaster Police for Domestic Violence and Resisting Arrest. Brunney was transported to the SEORJ.—–

April 5, 2020
Deputies responded to a Main St. Rockbridge residence for a possible overdose. After deputies arrived they were able to wake the persons up. Deputies found items believed to be heroin and methamphetamine in the vehicle and on their person. The drugs were seized and will be submitted to the BCI crime lab for analysis and possible future indictment.—–

April 5, 2020
Deputies responded to a Sheets Rd. residence for a domestic argument. No charges were filed.—–

April 5, 2020
Deputies responded to a breaking and entering complaint at a SR 664 rental cabin. The owners arrived to check on their cabin and thought a person may be in the cabin illegally. Deputies searched the cabin and found Cynthia M. Danner, 35, Homeless in the cabin. Danner had been staying in the cabin. After investigating the matter, deputies arrested Danner for Breaking and Entering and transported her to the SEORJ.—–

April 6, 2020
Deputies responded to a reported aggravated robbery at a SR 278 location. The victim provide deputies with information that he was pulled from a vehicle and had received a head injury and that he believed that he had been shot. Deputies found the location of the incident and it had occurred in Vinton County. The case was turned over to the Vinton County Sheriff’s Office. The injured person was flown to a Columbus hospital for treatment.
