Deputies responded to a Laurel St. residence for a theft complaint. The resident told deputies that someone had stolen a green and white EZ-GO golf cart from their carport along with a Stihl chain saw. The investigation is ongoing.—–

Deputies responded to an active burglary call at a Forest State Rd. Rockbridge. While in route to the residence, deputies were provided a suspect. Deputies arrived and cleared the residence and found it empty. Deputies patrolled the area and found the suspect, Brandon Moore, 29, Rockbridge walking on SR 180. After interviewing Moore and collecting evidence, Moore was arrested and charged with Burglary, F2, and transported to the SEORJ.—–

The complainant told deputies that they wanted a person in which they have had a prior relationship to leave the residence. Deputies told the complainant that since they had been living there, they needed to go through the eviction process.—–

The complainant told deputies that while out on their property they found multiple items inside some vehicles parked on their property. Deputies seized the property and the investigation is ongoing.—–

Deputies were notified that Logan Police had arrested Chelsea Sturgill, 34, New Lexington, for outstanding felony warrants for Trafficking in Drugs and Possession of Drugs on Sheriff’s Office warrants. After transporting Sturgill to the SEORJ, Corrections Officers found additional suspected drugs on her person. Deputies seized the items and they will be submitted to the BCI crime lab for analysis and possible future indictment.—–

Deputies responded to a Thompson Rd. residence for a burglary complaint. The complaint told deputies that the residence is a weekend residence and that someone in the last month had entered the residence and stolen several items. The deputies were able to collect some evidence and a trail camera footage from a neighbor. The case remains under investigation.—–

Deputies responded to a Mohler Rd. residence for a possible suicidal person. Deputies were able to find and talk to the person who had been drinking and was in possession of a .45 caliber handgun. The person was transported to HVCH by the HCEMS for evaluation.—–

Deputies responded to a Jefferson St. residence for a burglary complaint. Deputies processed the scene and collected evidence. A car hauler trailer was entered into LEADS/NCIC.—–

Deputies responded to an area of Dupler Rd. after 3 juveniles reported gun shots. The juveniles told deputies that as they were walking along the railroad tracks along Dupler Rd. a male in a white Chevrolet 4 door pickup truck, fired multiple gun shots in what they believed toward them. The juvenile told deputies that they ran into the woods to hide. Deputies searched the area and collected some evidence. Deputies searched the area and did not locate any vehicles matching that description. The case remains under investigation.—–

Deputies responded to a 911 hangup call at a rental cabin on SR 664 for a domestic argument. Deputies found that no violence occurred and no charges were filed. The occupants were also advised of the order to close cabin rentals. The owner told deputies that he didn’t have time to notify the renters not to come. Any future violations by the cabin rental business will result in the owner being criminally charged. The Health Department was notified of the violation.—–

Deputies responded to Cemetery Rd. for a neighbor dispute and disorderly conduct complaint. The complainant told deputies that they and a neighbor family engaged in a dispute over a private access road.—–

Deputies responded to a Krinn-Uger Keck Rd. rental property for a criminal trespassing complaint. The complainant told deputies that a person trespassed on the property and used the hot tub. Employees later identified the person for deputies as a former employee. Charges were not filed, but they were trespassed from the property.—–

Detectives received a report from the McArthur village police of a complaint filed with them that alleged the father had abused a child while on visitation at his residence in Hocking County. After investigating the matter, detectives found the allegations unfounded.—–

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Chieftain Dr. in the area of the Kroger parking lot for several equipment and moving traffic violations. After making contact with the driver, the passenger was exhibiting extreme nervousness and was asked to exit the vehicle. The passenger fled and was pursued on foot by the deputy with the assistance of Logan Police Officers. After the suspect had fled into the river, he was spotted by a Logan Officer exiting the river. With the assistance of K9 Annie from Logan PD, Philip J. Tomblin, 34, Logan was taken into custody and charged with Obstructing Official Business, Menacing, Resisting Arrest and had multiple warrants for his arrest. The driver Angela R. Ford, 48, Logan was charged with Obstructing Official Business.—–

Deputies responded to a Carbon Hill-Buchtel Rd. residence after the resident found several people attempting to steal an ATV from the residence. The complainant told deputies that after interrupting the theft, the suspects fled in a gold minivan. Nelsonville Police located a vehicle matching that description and deputies went to their location in Nelsonville. While driving to meet NPD, deputies were passed by a vehicle matching the description with several occupants. Deputies and NPD conducted a traffic stop. After a short investigation, deputies arrested Kyle W. Taylor, 26, Lancaster for an outstanding warrant. Taylor was transported to the SEORJ.—–
