Hocking County OH- On Thursday, March 5th, Hocking County Sheriff’s Office detectives, with the assistance of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, executed a search warrant at an apartment in the Elm Court Apartment Complex, located in the City of Logan.
The search warrant was the result of an investigation that began on February 27th when the Hocking County Sheriff’s Office received an investigative lead from the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia about a online child exploitation case.
Investigators seized various electronic equipment and conducted an interview with the suspect who admitted to possessing child pornography and sending nude photographs of himself to juveniles on the internet.
Seth A. Bauman, 30 of Logan, was arrested and charged with one count of Pandering Sexually Oriented Material involving a Minor, a Felony of the 4th Degree.
Additional charges will likely be presented to the Hocking County Grand Jury when a forensic analysis of Bauman’s electronic equipment is complete.
