Governor Dewine Mandates Closure of Hair Salons, Parlors, Tattoo Shops by End of Day Today

OHIO -Governor Dewine has ordered the closure of all barbershops, hairdressers, tattoo parlors, and nail salons to close at the end of the business today.

Dewine ordered 181 BMVs to close at end of business today. Five remain open for CDLs. All other services online or by mail. Grace period for license renewals will be issued, tickets won’t be issued for expired licenses.

All businesses and manufacturers are being asked to take temps of all employees at beginning of every day, asked to start sanitizing.  National Guard  when activated will help in erecting texts, food banks, not for military use.



Dewine also said public weddings, and funerals should be postponed.

“The last thing that any of us want is for a funeral or a wedding to be the cause of someone else dying,” DeWine said

As of 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 18, 2020 there are 88 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ohio, across 19 counties. However, at this time Pickaway County has no confirmed cases.

President Trump said that new testing for the COVID-19 is rolling out within the week and a spike in positive tests will occur during this time from all the positives that are currently undiagnosed.

Today two OSU students tested positive to COVID-19 announced by the College.
