Frigid Temps Break Local Records of over 100 Years

OHIO – The magnitude of cold in the last few days isn’t something we see this early in the season, matter of fact its breaking, ummm shattering records.

This morning National Weather reported record colds:

11/12 low 12 – previous record 16 in 1996
11/13 low so far 13 – previous record 14 in 1976
Dayton
11/12 low 11 – previous record 15 in 1911
11/13 low so far 9 – previous record 13 in 1911, 1986
Columbus
11/12 low 15 – previous record 16 in 1911
11/13 low so far 13 – previous record 14 in 1911

Even National weather didn’t realize that temperatures would drop even colder recording single digits on average all over the state that may break even more records.

According to National Weather in Pickaway County temperatures dropped into single digits coldest recorded in Darbyville at 6 degrees at 5:50 am. Colder yet was in Dublin Ohio at 2 degrees at 7 am this morning, but the record for this morning goes to De Graff in Logan County for -1 degrees at 7:10 am.
