FDA- In this letter from the FDA to the company that produces Purell Hand Sanitizers, the FDA accused the company of misleading the public through advertising.

The letter goes on to say that Purells claim that their hand sanitizers can prevent the spread of the Ebola virus is unfounded and to their knowledge, no hand sanitizer from any company has ever been tested against the virus.
