FCSO Says Goodbye to K9 Myra

Franklin County OH- It is a sad day for the FCSO as we say goodbye to K9 Myra. Myra’s heart was as big as her drive. She had a bit of a reputation for being overprotective of her human partner, Deputy John Dillon.

She also had a total disregard for the chain of command…she once held an FCSO Major hostage in a hallway to “protect” Dillon. We can laugh at Myra’s antics, but there was nothing funny about her job performance. Myra served as a duel purpose narcotics K9 from 2009-2016. “She was the best drug dog I’ve ever seen,” said Deputy Dillon. We miss Myra’s ability to make the community a little safer for all of us, but we are thankful for her lesson in loyalty.
