FAYETTE – Fayette County Memorial Hosptial has closed its doors to most visitors effective immediately.

“Our caregivers are working diligently to prevent the spread of germs and protect our patients and staff. It is with this in mind that FCMH is not permitting visitors. The parent/guardian of a minor needing to be seen or patients needing assistance are the exception. Other situations will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. The no visitor policy applies to the main hospital as well as Medical Arts Buildings 1 and 2.
The main entrance of the hospital is now closed except to surgery and endoscopy patients and those who need to visit the cashier’s window for inquiries about their bill. All others needing to access the main hospital should enter through the Emergency Department.
If you are concerned that you may have the Coronavirus and wish to be seen, please first call 333-3333, weekdays until 8:00pm. After hours call 335-1210. If you already have an appointment with a provider, and have concerns about the virus, please call and talk to your provider before your appointment.
Right now all other daily appointments and procedures continue as normal, but at any time if you have questions about your upcoming appointment or procedure, please call the provider or department first.
We thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work to keep our community healthy.”
