Commerical Point – “A boil alert is being issued immediately to the residents of Commercial Point and all additional water customers of the Village including Southern Point Subdivision: Due to a flooding event that began on May 20, 2020, the Village of Commercial Point public water system began monitoring the source water and sampling has detected the presence of E,coli which is a fecal indicator. The water system is now conducting additional sampling from the source(s) to determine the extent of the situation and conducting a thorough investigation to determine the source of contamination. At this time no contamination has been found within the distribution system; however, as a precaution, we are issuing this boil alert due to our source water being impacted by the flood waters until further notice.”
