COLUMBUS – Columbus Public Health has posted a advisory that they are finding that fentanyl is being mixed with all street drugs recently with a upswing in drug overdoses in the city.

The drugs most commonly being mixed are meth and cocaine, so all recreational drug users and anyone affected by a substance use disorder should have naloxone on hand.

Columbus is giving away free naloxone and fentanyl test strips will be available on a walk in basis TODAY from 4-8 p.m. at Safe Point, 1267 W. Broad St.

Columbus Public Health also insists that people do not use alone having someone with you to administer naloxone or call 911 immediately if someone overdoses.

If you are unable to come to Safe Point tonight, you can find other locations for naloxone and fentanyl test strips here: https://www.columbus.gov/publichealth/programs/Alcohol-and-Drug-Abuse/Opiate-Crisis-Information/.
