CIRCLEVILLE – Circleville Police say that they were able to catch a criminal after a concerned citizen made a 911 call of a man going through a neighbors vehicle.
On January 30, 2020 at about 1:13 a.m. Circleville Police Department 911 Communications Center received a call from a concerned citizen who observed an unknown male going through a neighbor’s vehicle. Circleville Communications Officers immediately dispatched Patrol Officers to the area and was able to provide Officers real-time information on the movements of the suspect. Officers located the male juvenile suspect and found him to be in possession of a women’s purse containing various items stolen from vehicles. The male juvenile was charged with receiving stolen property and property was returned to its rightful owner.
The Circleville Police Department is encouraging our residents to report any suspicious activity. Always remember to remove any items of value from plain view and keep your vehicle doors locked. We would like to thank the concerned citizen who reported this crime and helped make Circleville a safer community.
