CIRCLEVILLE – Most of the leaves have fallen now and the beauty has turned into mounds of golden piles on our lawns.

The following is a release from Circleville Service Department:

Fall leaf collection in the City of Circleville begins Monday November 12th.  Leaves will be collected through Friday December 28th.  Efforts by City of Circleville resident to deliver bagged leaves to the City Garage, 740 South Washington Street, will be greatly appreciated as united efforts combine for a cleaner neighborhood, in a timelier manner, for all.  Deliveries will be accepted from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with the exception of city observed holidays, November 22nd and 23rd and December 24th and 25th.  For residents not able to deliver to our City Garage, bagged leaves may also be placed on the curb for pick up.

The city offers the following tips for you fall leaf collection in order to prevent stormwater pollution:

    • Place Leaves Only between the grassy area and curb, not in the street
    • Place leaves only for collection, no brush or other debris, as they will not be collected
    • Park cars away from leaf piles
    • Keep Leave away from street storm drains, Laves flow into the storm sewer and cause blockages and street flooding. Too much decomposing organic waste adds excess nutrients into our streams and lakes, some of which can lead to algae blooms witch can be harmful to humans and pets.

We will pick leaves through the remainder of the year.  If you have any questions regarding leaf collection, please contact the service Department 477-8224

  1. It is funny you said that because I was just going to comment that the first time I saw a dog wearing one, I thought it was because the dog was aggressive. I just stayed on my side of the street though. I haven’t tried one with my dogs, but it seems like they are pretty popular now.
