Chillicothe OH- An accident occurred on 1/3/2021 at 7:15P.M. in the area of North Hickory St and East Water St involving a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle.
According to a police report obtained the pedestrian, 54 year old Charles Burns has been charged with Pedestrian Walking In Roadway. The charge stems from the investigation that directly followed the accident where law enforcement found that Mr. Burns was admittedly under the influence of alcohol. Video evidence was also provided to law enforcement showing Mr. Burns standing in the middle of the road waving his arms and acting erratically.
Mr. Burns is not guilty of any crime and has only been charged until proven so in the court of law. Injuries sustained by Mr. Burns sent him to Adena Regional Medical Center in stable condition but later transferred to a hospital in Columbus for further treatment.
No charges have been filed against the driver of the vehicle as evidence has not provided any detail of wrong doing.
