Chillicothe OH- Chillicothe City Schools superintendent had this to say in a social media post made today.

“CCSD Parents/Guardians: If your child is experiencing flu symptoms (fever over 100, chills, headache and muscle/body aches, cough, sore throat, runny/stuffy nose, vomiting and diarrhea), please keep your child home until they are at least 24 hours free of symptoms (without medication). (It is also important to keep your child away from public/crowded places while they have symptoms). It is recommended to consult your doctor for Influenza screening (medications may be available to help decrease the severity and duration of the flu). We had our buildings thoroughly cleaned over the weekend in an effort to reduce our students exposure to any flu germs while at school. Thank you for your assistance in keeping our students healthy and if you have questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact your building principal or school nurse.

Sincerely,
Debbie Swinehart
Superintendent
Chillicothe City Schools”
