Chillicothe K9 Tobi Gets Biggest Bust of Career Days After Coworker K9 Koby’s Passing

CHILLICOTHE – Chillicothe Police are reporting that K9 Tobi nabbed the biggest seizure in his career the same week that they said goodbye to another K9 officer K9 Koby.




“It was only fitting that during the week after K9 Koby’s passing, his friend K9 Tobi would find his largest seizure of his career, said Chillicothe Police.

Approx 14 pounds of marijuana, over 100 cannabis infused edibles and over 50 THC vape canisters were seized. This led to a further investigation in Fayette County, where members of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office executed (3) three search warrants on Thursday evening, March 19, 2020. Two of the homes were located in the Village of Jeffersonville and the third in Jefferson Township.

The search warrants were the result of an investigation being conducted by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Chillicothe Police Department, and the Wilmington Police Department.

The search warrants resulted in the confiscation of over 20 pounds of marijuana, numerous THC consumables, suspected hashish, firearms, and over $7000.00 dollars in U.S. currency. Several items used in the production of marijuana and derivatives were also confiscated.

Suspects have been identified related to this investigation, however their names are not being released at this time as charges are pending in this case.
