Buddist Monk Caught Crossing Ohio on a 3,000 Trip Journey

OHIO – A Buddist monk is crossing Ohio this week on a 3,000 mile journey across the United States. Buddhist monk Sutham Nateetong started his journey in March.

Today Deputy Ecker and Deputy Shelly encountered Buddhist monk Sutham Nateetong near Dalton. Nateetong is walking across the United States to promote peace and began his 3,000-mile journey on the first of March in Santa Monica, California. In May he crossed through Oklahoma and says he traveling along Route 66 through Chicago. In the beginning of June he Crossed into Ohio and plans to finish his trip by the end of the month.

Nateetong showed up today in Wayne County Ohio in a post by Wayne County Ohio Sheriff today. He told Police that he marches for peace.

The monk says all his supplies are given to him by only natives and said, “”It’s a duty for everyone to make peace, not only for the president, not only for Congress, but it’s a duty for everyone to make peace.”
