BREAKING NEWS Lancaster OH- SWAT Raids Three Homes, Six People Arrested

Lancaster OH- On Monday February 3, 2020, Major Crimes Unit Detectives with the assistance of the Lancaster Police Department’s SRT team and the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team executed three separate search warrants at 426 1/2 Harrison Avenue, 223 West 5th Avenue and 319 Wheat Street in the City of Lancaster.

Through this investigation Major Crimes Unit Detectives were able to identify individuals from each location that were involved in the sales of methamphetamine.

426 ½ Harrison Avenue – Detectives recovered evidence of drug trafficking including scales and packaging materials. During the search warrant execution, one individual briefly barricaded in the home and tear gas was deployed to compel them to exit.

Arrested and taken to the Fairfield County jail from the Harrison Ave home were Paul Beatty (35) and Jeffrey A. Beatty (63). Paul Beatty is being held on parole violation and Jeffrey Beatty is being held for probation violation.

Additional charges are expected as the investigation is completed.

225 West 5th Avenue – Detectives recovered drug paraphernalia and a small amount of methamphetamine. No parties were arrested at this location, however future charges are expected as the investigation concludes.

319 Wheat Street – During entry to this residence, 13 people were initially detained from inside. Detectives recovered drug paraphernalia, evidence of drug trafficking including scales and packaging material, a small amount of heroin and methamphetamine.

Arrested and taken to the Fairfield County Jail from the Wheat Street home were Bartley Meadows (44) for parole violation, Myranda Ogg (40) for parole violation, Nicole Reedy (42) for probation violation, and Lucas Reed for an outstanding arrest warrant.

Lancaster City Code Enforcement was summoned to the scene due to the deplorable conditions of the home. Consequently an order was issued condemning the location.

Additional charges are expected as the investigation is completed.
